Finding Career Clarity & Direction
I have been working with Mara Rose as a career and life coach for over a year and I’ve had a wonderful experience. When we first starting working together, I was at a stressful and frustrating point in my career and considering a change. We dove deep and explored every option, leaving no stone unturned. We developed methods to evaluate every potential route I could have taken, discussed the pros and cons of big decisions, and worked together to create a vision of my future that I wanted–then made a plan to achieve it. Mara was excellent at helping me figure out my strengths, my career criteria, my personality traits, and all the things that make up who we are, but we don’t necessarily think about. I learned so much about myself through the process.
Mara was thoughtful, organized, kind, and extremely supportive in every one of our sessions. She also has a great sense of humor and we make each other laugh a lot, which keeps our sessions fun.
If you’re considering working with a career coach or life coach, know that it’s a relationship and relationships require work from both sides. This isn’t a service where you answer a few questions then someone tells you what job you should have. There are Buzzfeed quizzes for that. With Mara, I brought ideas to the table and we worked through them together. She provided resources, tools, and a framework to guide my thinking. She brought her own ideas to the table and we discussed them. There was homework. Research. Big things to think about. Lots of introspection outside of our 1-hour sessions.
I’ve since started a new chapter in my career and I continue to work with Mara for her guidance on leadership, balance, and where to devote my energy. She’s a wonderful coach and an awesome human being.

I have been working with Mara for maybe 6 months now and I can’t say enough good things about her. I went to her for career guidance as I was at a major turning point in my life and unsure of what direction to head. She helped me find that direction by helping me identify what I really wanted and valued, what my possible paths were and additionally how my strengths fit into that equation.
Mara felt like a trusted friend who guided me through a process of self-discovery and reflected back to me the strengths she saw in me. Additionally, I was going through some major difficulties in my personal life and while I’ve never been to keen on the idea of a life coach, I found her additional expertise in that area extremely beneficial. She always made sure to make it clear that it was up to me how we used our sessions; we could solely focus on the career path but I often chose to use our sessions tapping into her life coach skills as they proved extremely helpful during a very difficult time in my life.

Very easily put, Mara is amazing.
I sought out for her help when I didn’t know which path I wanted to go down. I was confused and struggled with how I was suppose to get from where I was (confused, college graduate, working retail, and no idea what I was doing or wanted to do) to having things figured out.
